Catalog description

An analysis of the history of American women from the colonial period to thepresent. Special emphasis is placed on the following topics: patterns of women'spaid and unpaid work, the interrelated issues of race and class and power, theCult of Domesticity, sexuality and reproduction, and the development ofmovements for political, social, and cultural change. Note: Fulfills SUNY-GE U.S.History and Civic Engagement, SUNY-GE Social Sciences, and SUNY-GEDiversity. No prerequisite.
