First half of the introductory sequence in German which develops the fourlanguage skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing with emphasis oncommunicative competence. Basic concepts of German culture are introduced.Required online lab component. Notes: (1) This course is for students with little orno knowledge of German. It is not appropriate for native/fluent speakers ofGerman, for whom GER201 is recommended. More advanced students shouldsee the Chair/Academic Dean. (2) Fulfills SUNY-GE World Languages.
