Deals with the future as seen through literature of science fiction. Among themescovered are the effect of science and technology on human beings in a futuristiclandscape and the modern mythological journey of the heroine/hero. Amongwriters included are H.G. Wells, Robert Heinlein, Arthur C. Clarke, Isaac Asimov,Frederick Pohl and Ursula LeGuin. Note: Fulfills SUNY-GE Humanities.Prerequisite: ENG100 or ENG101.
