Emerging Writers Workshop

Catalog description

This course is for students interested in fulfilling the requirements of ENG010 andENG101 in one semester. Focus on exploring a variety of written genres whilelearning to engage with the writing process in order to rework or reimagine thedevelopment of ideas. The course also introduces students to writing skills thatinclude but are not limited to prewriting, drafting, editing, proofreading, readingcomprehension, reflection, and analysis as they relate to essays written in theENG101 class. This class is taken in conjunction with ENG101, and studentsmust pass ENG012: Emerging Writers Workshop in order to receive a passinggrade in ENG101. Graded on an S-R-U-W basis. Not applicable toward anydegree or certificate. Prerequisite: ENG009 or placement in ENG010.Corequisite: ENG101.
