Introduction to analogue and digital data communications techniques, a systemsdesign approach. Includes analogue/digital modulation techniques, ISDN, video,cellular ATM, synchronous/asynchronous and wireless techniques. Digital/datacommunication systems techniques such as multiplexing, coding, PSK andothers. Covers systems, transmission media and techniques in theanalogue/digital/data transmission. (offered spring semester only) (2 hrs. lecture,2 hrs. laboratory) Prerequisite: ELT231 and ELT236. Corequisite: ELT243.
