Catalog description

The understanding of network analysis techniques learned in Electricity I isreinforced and extended to solution of networks with AC excitations. Topicsemphasized include impedance, admittance, resonance and frequency response,transformers, power relations and 3-phase systems. Computers used as aproblem-solving tool. Objective of the laboratory is to illustrate use of appropriateelectronic equipment for testing of principles presented in the lecture. (offeredspring semester only) (3 hrs. lecture, 2 hrs. laboratory) Prerequisite: ELT112,ELT115, and MAT111. Corequisite: MAT120.
