Examination of the role of the early childhood professional in an educationalsetting and in relationships with children, parents, staff and teachers. Fostersdevelopment of observational skills and instructional techniques. Registration incourse requires students to purchase liability insurance through the college.Fingerprint, health and background checks may be required at the student'sexpense. (offered fall semester only) (2 hrs. lecture, 3 hrs. practicum) Studentswill be placed in their early childhood education practicum site based on thelocation of the campus they register for the seminar. Prerequisite: C or higher inEDU102. Prerequisite or corequisite: C or higher in EDU103.
