Digital Illustration I

Catalog description

This course examines the fundamentals of digital illustration and use of computeras a medium. Emphasis on concept, creativity and communication in drawingand composing illustrations, realistic modeling and rendering skills, andmanipulation of digital software tools such as pencil, pen, and brush. Other topicsare the historical development of digital illustration and the preparation ofillustrations for screen, prepress and exhibition. Note: Fulfills SUNY-GE The Arts.(2 hrs. lecture, 2 hrs. laboratory) No prerequisite.
