Information Security Capstone

Catalog description

This capstone course provides a review of methods for identifying networkvulnerabilities, implementing network defense and exploring network forensics.Students have opportunities to implement a layered defense on a practicalnetwork, including using tools to analyze the vulnerabilities of a network.Additionally, students will research products that could serve as countermeasuresagainst potential attacks, implement security features of the network's operatingsystems and develop alternate solutions based upon cost and level of securityrequired. The course also provides students with the practical skills necessary toenhance their network security background and prepare for Professional SecurityCertification(s).
