Catalog description

This course provides an introduction to the core security concepts and skillsneeded for the installation, monitoring, and troubleshooting of network securityfeatures to maintain the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of data anddevices. Various types of hands-on labs provide practical experience, includingprocedural and troubleshooting labs, skills integration challenges, and modelbuilding. In addition to learning the fundamentals of designing, building, andoperating secure networks, students also develop problem solving, criticalthinking, collaboration, teamwork, negotiation, and entrepreneurship workplaceskills. Upon completion of this course, the student will be prepared to take theCCNA Security Certification Exam at a certified testing center.
