This course introduces the script programming paradigm and introduces andcompares a range of scripting languages used for Windows, Unix and web-basedapplications. This course introduces the principles of scripting, covers fewselected scripting languages in depth, and illustrates the advanced use ofscripting by extensive case studies in application areas such as systemadministration, web application development, graphical user interfacedevelopment, and text processing. (offered spring semester only) Prerequisite:CYB111 and CYB115.
