Advanced course presenting problem-solving methodologies and emphasizingobject-oriented principles and designs using Java. Several medium-to-largeprograms using this paradigm are assigned. Focuses on how to write completeprogram using one or more object classes. Discusses objects in general withspecial consideration given to string processing, arrays and collections ofobjects. Swing graphical user interface library discussed and compared totechniques used in Visual Basic. Prerequisite: CST141 or permission of theChair/Academic Dean.
