Catalog description
Introduces implementation of Network Operating Systems in medium to verylarge computing environments. Explores connectivity issues such as connectingindividual offices and users at remote locations to the corporate network andconnecting corporate networks to the internet. Examines network services andapplications such as file and print, database, messaging, proxy server or firewall,dial-in server, desktop management, and web hosting. Also examines skillsrequired to manage, monitor and troubleshoot Network Address Translation andCertificate Services. Utilizing case studies, students learn how to install, manage,monitor, configure and troubleshoot DNS, DHCP, Remote Access, NetworkProtocols, IP routing and WINS. Prerequisite: CST125.
