Study of rules of evidence and Uniform Criminal Procedure Law as they apply tocriminal court cases. Considers relationship of rules of evidence and fairprocedural laws to justice in a democratic society, effect of federal and state courtdecisions on procedural law, evidentiary and procedural requirements for properpresentation of cases in court, and role of the police officer as a witness in court.No prerequisite.
