Includes historical analysis of policing, itsculture, and its relationship to law and community. Examines complex problemspolice face in their mission to enforce the law while providing services indemocratic society. Impact of computer and other technological advances onpolicing also examined. Emphasis on police ethics throughout course. Noprerequisite.
