Interpretations of plans and specifications, preparation of construction estimates,resource requirements in building systems, including large-scale CivilEngineering works such as highways, bridges and utility projects. Estimatingdatabases, labor pricing, cost analysis from small-scale projects to heavy civilinfrastructure are developed. Introduces the most accepted methods forscheduling construction project from start to finish. Typical projects are heavy civilinfrastructure types, such as highways, bridges and utility projects. Studentscreate and filter schedules based upon plans, manage schedules, computecritical path, and create reports and PERT charts. Students also work withvarious aspects of scheduling creation, with emphasis on maintenance ofschedules. (offered fall semester only) (2 hrs. lecture, 3 hrs. laboratory)Prerequisite: COT114.
