Anatomy and Physiology of HumanMovement

Catalog description
A comprehensive anatomy and physiology course that focuses on all aspectsrelated to human movement. The course is designed for the Physical TherapistAssistant Program. In-depth discussions on the myofascial, musculoskeletal,nervous, cardiovascular, respiratory, endocrine and digestive systems will helpgive students a greater understanding of how the systems work synergistically toallow for human movement. Concepts involving the reproductive, urinary, andimmune systems will be also be covered to create a holistic picture of how the 10major organ systems relate to human function. Common pathologies that relateto the systems will be covered. Note: Fulfills SUNY-GE Natural Sciences. (offeredspring semester only) (3 hrs. lecture, 3 hrs. laboratory) Prerequisite: BIO130 withC+ or better.
