Catalog description

This course explores human movement through anatomy, physiology, andbiomechanics, focusing on sports applications. Students will studymusculoskeletal anatomy, neuromuscular physiology, and exercise science,covering joint structure, muscle actions, and movement patterns. Key topicsinclude energy systems and biomechanical analysis of sport movements.Through labs and movement analysis exercises, students will apply concepts toreal-world scenarios in athletics, fitness, and rehabilitation. Note: Fulfills SUNY-GE Natural Sciences. (offered fall semester only) (3 hrs. lecture, 2 hrs.laboratory) Prerequisites: BIO130.
