Anatomy and Physiology II is the second part of a two-course sequence in whichthe basic principles of the structure and function of the human body arediscussed in depth. The topics covered include the endocrine system, thecardiovascular system, the lymphatic system and immunity, the respiratorysystem, the digestive system, metabolism, the urinary system, fluid/electrolyteand acid/base balance, the reproductive system, and development and genetics.An emphasis is placed on the interrelationships among the body systems and theregulation of the physiological functions involved in maintaining homeostasis.Special attention is given to the application of these principles and concepts tohealth-related areas. Note: Fulfills SUNY-GE Natural Sciences. (3 hrs. lecture, 3hrs. laboratory) Prerequisite: BIO130 grade of C or better.
