Automotive Electricity and Electronics I will explore the operation, diagnosis andrepair of vehicle electrical and electronic systems. Major topics include electricaland electronic theory and diagnostic tools and resources. This course willintroduce the student to the competencies required to take the ASE "A6"technician certification test. Hands-on tasks required by Automotive ServiceExcellence (ASE) in the area of Electricity and Electronics will be covered indetail. This course is designed to prepare the student for final hands-on skillsvalidation. This is the first of two electrical classes designed to prepare thestudent for the ASE A6 Electricity and Electronics certification exam. (offered fallsemester only) (2 hrs. lecture, 2 hrs. laboratory) No prerequisite.
