Examines use of potter's wheel in ceramic arts. Teaches students fundamentalskills necessary to create wheel-thrown objects in clay. Students explore potterywheel's functions and care in order to utilize its many creative possibilities. Off-wheel techniques such as texture modalities, different glazing techniques andkiln firing skills also explored. (1 hr. lecture, 4 hrs. studio) No prerequisite. Offeredon: A-G
