Foundation course in two-dimensional design. Exploration of historical andcontemporary concepts of space and pictorial composition. Studio problemsemploying elements of line, texture, shape, form and color. A basic course forpainting, graphics, photography and commercial art. Note: Fulfills SUNY-GE TheArts. (1 hr. lecture, 4 hrs. studio) No prerequisite.
