Catalog description

Development and implementation of the Vocational and Educational TreatmentPlan with an individual with a substance use disorder. Exploration of the historyof substance abuse prevention efforts with emphasis on various approaches tothe problem and evaluation of their effectiveness. Includes evaluation of needs ofspecial populations within the larger community. Current theory and practice arereviewed through a study of several actual prevention programs. Studentsexpected to develop and present a prevention lesson in the class. (offered springsemester only) Prerequisite: ADS111 with a C or higher or permission of theChair/Academic Dean.
