Catalog description
Students will learn about scientific research and how to become a scientist. Specifically, course content will revolve around the experimental design process, securing of research funding, and the execution of experiments, data analysis, and interpretation. Emphasis will be placed on conveying scientific results in oral and written form, adhering to professional standards in Biomedical Engineering. As a capstone project, students will design and perform their own experiments in groups and submit an individual manuscript suitable for publication in a scientific journal
