Topics include application of numerical and statistical models, diagnosis of vertical motion, development of midlatitude synoptic systems, mesoscale phenomena associated with cyclones, convective systems, and radar applications. Laboratories include extensive practice in forecasting and diagnosis of synoptic and convective systems.
