Greek and Roman Mythology through Art & Technology

Catalog description

Examines how Ancient Greeks and Romans used artistic expressions of mythology to relate to the world in which they lived. Students will explore how ancient technologies influenced potters, sculptors, and architects, and how historical and cultural developments shaped both art and myth. Students will be introduced to classical and anthropological archaeology, with virtual visits to archaeological sites (“digs”) in modern-day Greece, Türkiye, and Italy.
