Catalog description

This is a comparative course that explores the philosophical traditions from the East and the West and engages evolutionary, psychological, social, and phenomenological approaches to address the categories of creativity and freedom. The course borrows examples from a wide range of cultural experiences from various Asian and Asian American traditions. In addition, this course also utilizes excerpts from the works of some of the most creative people from the 20th century.
