ACTING FOR SCREEN AND SHAKESPEARE

Catalog description

This is an advanced level acting class designed to take students beyond the style of contemporary realism into the study of alternative styles of performance. Topics include theoretical approaches to performing Shakespeare, Clowning techniques, and Acting on Camera. The course work will consist of extensive scene and monologue preparation, period research, and developing material for an acting reel.
