SPANISH LANG FOR SOCIAL WORK

Catalog description

This course will develop the abilities of the students, as articulated by the Standards for Foreign Language Learning (1999), in the areas of communication, cultures, connections, comparisons, and communities. Students will have the opportunity to practice their verbal skills in class activities and through fieldwork in field placements that serve Spanish-speaking clients. Particular emphasis will be placed on cultural aspects and the professional terminology related to rendering effective social services. Faculty: M. COLON
