Not open to those with credit for SOCY 2745.This tutorial in sociology explores the intersection of race, poverty and education in urban environments nationally and locally. The academic component will examine current issues and theories pertaining to educating impoverished, minority populations. The service learning component will comprise service hours in an Atlantic City elementary/middle school. This course meets the requirements for the Childhood Studies minor capstone course.
