Catalog description

Spring semesters. This course provides an overview to the study of global health. Key areas of disease burden and the influence of race, ethnicity, social, behavioral, economic, biological, environmental, governmental, and gender related factors on health and health status of diverse populations are explored. The relationships between ethics, human rights, and social justice on health and initiatives to create and maintain healthy communities around the globe are examined.
