Prerequisite: PSYC 2301. Open to juniors and seniors only.This course examines the social psychological and cognitive underpinnings of stereotypes, prejudice, and discrimination. Topics include theoretical perspectives on prejudice from cognitive, group level, and societal level perspectives, the differences between stereotypes, prejudice, and discrimination, and the consequences of prejudice and discrimination for targets of prejudice.
