Catalog description

This introductory-level Public Policy course introduces students to this interdisciplinary field and includes a broad overview of theories and critiques of public policy making in the United States, the role that different actors play in the formulation of public policy, and the complexities of implementing public policy at the national, state, and municipal levels. Students will learn about, analyze, and evaluate specific policy domains such as anti-terrorism, immigration, climate change and other environmental issues, health care, campaign finance reform, taxes, education, crime, and more.
