This course is designed to investigate the impact that race and ethnicity have played in America's political life throughout its history. What exactly is the connection between race, ethnicity, and politics? How can we move forward and attempt to transcend the political suspicions that are a product of our racial and ethnic divisions? A large part of this class will be devoted to coming up with satisfactory answers to these bedeviling questions that have haunted the American body politic for far too long.Faculty: M. RODRIGUEZ
