Catalog description
In a nonlinear system, rates of change do not simply double when inputs are doubled. Nonlinearity produce fascinating phenomena like the unpredictable dynamics known as chaos. This course focuses on these phenomena and the computational methods that must be used to study them. Prerequisites: MATH 2217 AND PHYS 2230; OR permission of instructor. Corequisites: None.
