Formerly titled: Phil Issues in Binary Gender. Prerequisite: One course in Philosophy or Permission of Instructor.In this course we will explore the roots of the Western binary gender stereotypes. We will also investigate non-western concepts of gender that transcend this binary notion. Finally, we will look at the ethical, social, political and medical issues involved in transcending this binary model of gender.Faculty: K. DOLLARHIDE
