Catalog description

Previously titled: OT Practice Skills, II. Open only to MSOT graduate students. This course introduces the central and peripheral nervous systems as determinants and products of human behavior. Neuroanatomy and neuroscience are understood with respect to health promotion and understanding of disease processes. Clinical neuroscience is reviewed based on current scientific knowledge with application of neuroscience principles tied to understanding occupational performance. This course encourages consideration of ideas about the nervous system (especially the brain) as impacting and being impacted by human behavior and occupation.
