Catalog description

This course is designed to provide the student with the knowledge and skills necessary to serve as a member and leader of interdisciplinary groups to identify systems issues and facilitate changes ensuring quality and safety in healthcare. An overview of the organizational and systems leadership and program development will be emphasized. The program development component of the course will explore the use of quality improvement models, selecting and evaluating instruments, data collection procedures, budgeting, interpreting, reporting, and applying findings to change practice. Application to the DNP Project will be emphasized and students earn 50 DNP clinical hours in this course.
