Advanced health/physical assessment includes comprehensive history, physical and psychological assessment of signs and symptoms, pathologic changes, and psychosocial variations of the client. The purpose of this comprehensive assessment is to develop a thorough understanding of the client in order to determine appropriate and effective healthcare strategies, including disease prevention, health promotion and health restoration.
