Catalog description

This course focuses on the foundations of psychosocial nursing and adaptation to mental health stressors in clients across the four spheres of care. Students will demonstrate beginning competencies in the knowledge, skills, and attitudes applying the Roy Model and therapeutic approaches in client adaptation to psychosocial disorders, and workplace, and lateral violence. The nursing process, critical thinking, clinical judgment, evidence-based practice, quality and safety, ethics, interprofessional collaboration, cultural humility, and healthcare technology are implemented for the compassionate care of clients. NURS 3250 - 4 credits NURS 3255 - 2 credits
