Catalog description
The course examines the relationship between workers and employers. Topics include the legislation and evolution of collective bargaining, the process of negotiation, contemporary bargaining theories such as integrative or "mutual gains" bargaining, negotiations on economic and noneconomic issues, impasse resolution, grievance, and arbitration. An emphasis is placed on practical application including case studies and a bargaining simulation. Topics are treated from a nonunion and union perspective.Faculty: STAFF
