Catalog description

This course covers the fundamental oceanographic processes that control the abundance and distribution of living organisms in the sea. This course stresses the Physical, chemical, and biological aspects of the ocean that structure oceanic communities with an emphasis on planktonic organisms. One weekend field exercise is a required part of the course.
