Catalog description

This course focuses on the three main ocean basins and chemical and physical processes in them. Selected topics include major seawater ions and their distribution, alkalinity-carbonate system, and biolimiting elements. The course will also cover equation of state of seawater, water masses in different basins and various conservation equations. Includes laboratory work in MARS 3365.
