Prerequisite: MARS 2202 and GEOL 2101, or Permission of Instructor.Examinations of the geology of the continental shelf, slopes, and rise. Explores the structure of the continental margin and its sediments, together with the nature of the deep ocean basins. The course concentrates on presenting the basis for theories on global tectonics and oceanic occurrences through time.
