Catalog description

Formerly titled: Nazi Art and Propaganda.This course examines National Socialist uses of the arts for propaganda purposes. Beginning with an overview of the so-called "degenerate art" of Expressionism, we will move on to investigate how Nazi Germany employed architecture, sculpture, graphic design and painting, music, and even landscape design as ideological tools.
