Prerequisite:</b> LITT 2237. Open only to LITT majors.Writing Intensive course (W1).This course will study traditional and contemporary examples of Eastern and Western poetic forms including the haiku, renga, gazelle, sonnet, and villanelle with the purpose of learning the forms well enough to write in each. Exercises will be given in and out of class. Students will share work in class and develop a portfolio of poems as a final project.Faculty: N. LONG
