Catalog description

Prerequisite: LANG 3240 or LANG 3241 with a grade of C or better. Not open to those with credit for LANG 3249. Permission of Instructor Required. International/Multicultural Course (I). An in-depth study of the Spanish theater of the Golden age, with special emphasis on the works of Lope de Vega, Calder n de la Barca, Tirso de Molina, and others. Themes of a "honora" and "honra" will be examined as well as traditional roles of women, monarchy, and courtly love.Faculty: Spanish Language Faculty
