Catalog description

Contemporary France focuses on the institutions and values of post-war France. Its objectives are to acquaint students with the geography of the country along with the major political, social, economic, and cultural forces at work in France today. In addition, we will examine France's changing role within Europe and the world (including post-colonial Africa, Asia and the Americas). The course is taught in French.
