Permission of Instructor Required. Comics and Literature in Spanish is an advanced-level course that offers a survey of Spanish and Latin American culture through a focus on comics and graphic novels. The course will also include a selection of short stories and adaptations of literary texts. Students will improve their written and spoken expression in Spanish and learn about the basic concepts for the analysis of sequential art (comics, graphic novels) as a form of narrative art and of historical commentary.
