This interdisciplinary (history and literature) course studies the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939) and discusses its national and international significance regarding the socio-political situation of pre-war Spain, the actual confrontation between Nationalists and Republicans, and the repercussions of the dictatorial regime imposed by General Francisco Franco.
